1. Nature of the Document

The International Driving Document (IDD) provided by our company International Permit is a multilingual translation of an existing, valid driver's license. It is available in two formats:

  • A Translation Booklet (printed)
  • A Digital/Plastic Translation Card, which optionally includes a smartphone-accessible digital copy of the license.

This translation is designed only to assist with language comprehension when presenting your license abroad. It does not grant any driving rights.

2. No Legal Status

2.1 The only official translation of a driver's license for international use is the International Driving Permit (IDP) — issued exclusively by authorized government agencies or associations designated by a national government.

2.2 The IDD is not an IDP, does not replace an IDP, and does not confer legal driving privileges.

2.3 The IDD is not valid for legal identification purposes, and cannot serve as:

  • Proof of identity
  • Proof of driving rights
  • Replacement for an original license or an IDP

3. Conditions of Use

By purchasing or using our services, you confirm and acknowledge that:

  1. You must hold a valid, government-issued driver's license in good standing.
  2. The IDD is not a government-issued document, nor an IDP, nor an official photo ID.
  3. The IDD is a translation only and does not give permission to drive in the United States, Singapore, or any other jurisdiction.
  4. You are responsible for ensuring that local laws in the destination country accept supplementary translation documents.

4. Non-Affiliation Statement

International Driving Authority is:

  • Not affiliated with any government agency or public authority.
  • Not endorsed by the American Automobile Association (AAA), the Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), or any organization authorized to issue IDPs.
  • Not connected to the Automobile Association of Singapore (AAS), the Singapore Police Force, or any ministry or agency of the Singapore Government.

We make no claim of government approval or licensing in any country.

5. Limitation of Liability

We do not guarantee acceptance of our translation document by any third-party entity, including but not limited to rental agencies, border officials, or insurance providers. Use of our services is at your own discretion and risk.

To the fullest extent allowed by law, International Driving Authority and Pathway Travel Pte Ltd disclaim all liability for:

  • Rejections by third parties
  • Misuse of the IDD
  • Any misunderstanding regarding its legal status
